A Rare Twisting Cable Prototype Fountain Pen

Dear China Pen Lovers,

The festive mood is here and it has been nearly 7 years since we started servicing you and opening up a new world of oriental Chinese fountain pens to European pen collectors. Please do not look at our newsletter as a sales gimmick, in fact we emailed you often just to keep you update about the current pen trend and the latest discovery on Chinese pens.

Despite the cost of cheap labour in China, Hero Pen Company has recently reduced its staff size by half, and most of the shops which I used to patronise in Shanghai no longer sell pens. Instead the whole shop has been converted to selling the latest gadgets like hand phones and computer games – it seems that the new generation find it troublesome in filling up their writing instruments with ink!

Today let us bring you back to 1981 Canton, where Fountain Pens are popular among teachers and administrator and a booming pen trade created many fantastic prototype fountain pens.
