Vintage Chinese Fountain Pen Poster
Dear China Pen Lovers,
Chinese Fountain Pens has been around for nearly 60 years since the first Chinese fountain pen appear in China around the 1930s.
Guess who is the first Chinese to be known using a fountain pen? According to my years of research, Dr Sun Yat Sen, founder of modern china is the first known chinese to use a fountain pen in 1911 for he has been educated as a medical doctor in Hawaii and return back to China to reform the decaying Qing Dynasty.
So when is the first commercial fountain pen started selling in China? Again from what I found, the first chinese pen company is the Youth Pen Company in Shanghai in 1932, way before Hero started making its first pen in 1935. The first series of Youth Fountain Pen is a Parker look alike pen here:

This pen is a regular series until Youth Company stopped producing it in 1975.
