Stationery Show
May 19th, 2007

We're off to the annual Stationery Trade Show in
New York, and will be offline until late on

if you want to read of some of our adventures
last time we attended.

Private Reserve has a new color -- Tropical
Blue -- which falls between Daphne Blue and
the darker offerings. It's something of a sky
blue.

The Pilot 78G pens are all re-stocked, with
the exception of the black 'B' nib (but red,
teal and green are available).

Also re-stocked are the Wing Sung 237
rolled-celluloid pens...with green now in
place of the brown.

Wing Sung 237

"The Wing Sung #237 is doing a wonderful
job as a journaling and general 'knock
around' pen. The ink window is nice, I
haven't actually wondered if I was out of ink
at any point, but it is nice to see ink
coming into the pen....I like the style of
the #237's nib, and it puts down a fine,
controlled line with no blots or skips. I
also enjoy how light these plastic pens are!
They feel like you are writing with your
finger. I have written more and in longer
sessions than at any time since college and
never yet with writer's cramp. Try that with
a ball point that you have to gouge a rut in
the paper with to get a clean line!"
K.B., Portland, OR

"Just a note to let you know how much I
love these new old stock Wing Sung pens! It
is really amazing that such an inexpensive
pen can write so smoothly and be so
interesting looking....I took a little metal
polish cloth to them and they are
sparkling..thanks for sharing your last
supplies with rest of us! "

On the blog...What if Abe Lincoln had survived?

"Abraham Lincoln might have survived being
shot if today's medical technology had
existed in 1865.

Given that scenario, the question is whether
Lincoln would have recovered well enough to
return to office, a doctor and a historian
said Friday at an annual University of
Maryland School of Medicine conference on the
deaths of historic figures."
