The Art of lacquering has a long history dating back to the seventeen century during the Ming Dynasty in China.Applying layers after layers of Thuya paint on this pen requires not only patience, but a lifelong craftmanship.
Chinese Lacquer is a natural, durable substance derived from the Rhus vernicifera, atree native to Asian countries where climatic conditions are ideal for growth. Harvesting the resinous sap is a complicated procedure.
This week we reduced the price of our Thuya Imperial dragon drastically for this seasons greeting. Presented in a deluxe gift box, complete with a leather pen pouch , this makes a wonderful Christmas gift.
