I would appreciate comments and references to models. I am wondering about the Liaison stub.....maybe the carene or L'etalon? Thanks, jc

Sheaffer Balance II Stub

I tried one and it was very very sharp, worse that the ten dollar Sheaffer calligraphy pen I bought at staples. I had heard good things about Legacy stubs, which is why I tried the Balance. Wish I had a pen store where I could try a stub. Waterman is good about exchanges, and the Liaison is now available at pretty decent discounts so I may just break down and try one. Thanks for the response.

I have a Carene broad . . .
and it's very easy to write with. I would also think most modern stubs are going to be pretty easy to get use to. I have a Stipula stub that's very easy to use.
I think it's when you get into the italics that it's more of an issue. Often those nibs have sharp corners.
