His Nibs.com Update --
Duke & Uranus re-stocking
March 11th, 2006

We just received a large re-stocking order of DUKE
and Uranus models, including the Great Shanghai,
Silver Ribbons, DUKE ink and all four versions of the
Mako. See a partial list below.

Both of Monteverde's new models -- the Mauna Kea
and the Riviera fountain pen have done very well. It's
great to see them continue to come up with
innovative designs and finishes.

On the blog...check out Wednesday's entry to read
about the island of Sark's (who'd even heard of
Sark?) change from feudalism to democracy. I think I
know where I'm going to retire!

"There are no cars, roads or dentists and the only
ambulance is a converted tractor, but Sark - a tiny
self-governing island in the English Channel -
embraced the modern world Wednesday, when
legislators voted to swap its feudal government for
democracy.

After around 450 years of rule almost exclusively by
landowners, the smallest independent state in the
British commonwealth will allow each of the 600
residents to stand for election.
