DUKE Crane
Hi all,
It's now almost a week since the end of the
Washington, D.C. Supershow, and I'm almost
unpacked! I don't have official numbers yet, but it
certainly seemed to be the busiest show yet. I took
a table in the lobby for the first time, hoping to be
able to get close enough to the hotel's wireless
connection to be able to process credit cards
through the Internet, but the signal just wasn't
strong enough there (the ballrooms were a no-go
also).
Although current stock is well depleted at the
moment (as you'll see from quite a few sold
out
models on the website), I was able to obtain a
number of new DUKE models from my supplier at the
show. In most cases I only have one or two in stock
(that's all that they could bring to the show), but I'll
be ordering the full complement next week. I'm
introducing three of the models today, and if you
want one of the first batch -- or would like to obtain
any of the new or sold out DUKE/Uranus pens when I
place my order -- just drop me a line!
Today's offerings include some new models making
use of the traditional Chinese art of cloisonné...a first
for DUKE.

Mr. & Mrs. Nibs caught on film
Len Provisor, of Pentrace fame -- and through the auspices of the PCA
(Pen Collectors of America) -- took a whole bunch of
additional photos from the Supershow. He's uploaded
them to the Internet for easy viewing by all.
Just grab a refreshment, get comfortable and click on
the link below to see them all (just click on the
Slideshow when you reach the site). It's
almost as good as being there.

DUKE Sapphire
A companion to the DUKE Ruby http://www.hisnibs.com/ruby.htm [4]
pen introduced several weeks ago, the Sapphire
likewise has a real jewel in its cap, but this time the
interlay is gold-plated and it accents the
jewel
perfectly.

Is it safe to go back in the water?????
Just a tease for an upcoming series of really terrific
pens from DUKE. These are in the running for
becoming my all-time favorite design. Stay
tuned...and stay out of the water!
