Not a very good shot. Lighting wasn't so good in the ballroom. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

i picked my up from a fellow here in albuquerque, the pen was left to him by his father. this one is a trasparente, light blue 1945 Vintage. they are not so easy to find it would seem.
Tibaldi was established in 1916 with the headquarters in Via Delle Quercie, Florence. this was through a partnership of the businessmen Giuseppe Tibaldi and a shrewd technician, Giovanni Beneli. With little help from outside Beneli designed and manufactured all the tools and machinery needed for nib and pen production.
he also designed various filling mechanisms fitted on Tibaldi pens. in fact the headquarters was the family villa of Tibaldi, part of which was turned into a factory where the first to Tibaldi pens were born.
the company prospered until it was weakened by the ravages of the second world war. in 1958 it was acquired by Remo Pagliuca, a Florence pen maker who owned the trademark until 1992 when the Tibaldi name was sold to the Finduck Group. the new owners are presently re-establishing Tibaldi to its past grandeur.
i will put a picture up of the tibali 1945 on my website. http://www.pens-more.com

Thanks for sharing.
It's a shame they (the company) aren't still around. Nice looking pens.

Can you tell us a little more?
I've seen more and more mention of this brand. Are these easy to find? How or where did you get this one?
I saw a couple at the Atlanta pen show and I was very impressed with the pen material.
I took a picture of one. I'll see if I've posted it or not.
