Dear all, I just started a few months with my collection, and now I am looking for some information how to clean old pens, also how can I clean the plastic of a pen.

Not, sure but here is a couple of ideas.
This is a very good site with detail information on cleaning and polishing.

I know one guy that uses some stuff called Crocus. I believe it's basically like a jeweler's rouge. He uses it with a spinning buffer disk. He uses it for both cleaning and polishing and it seems to work pretty good. You want to take it easy or don't touch the imprints if possible.

Another product that is pretty good to give a final protection coat is something called Renaissance MicroCrystalline Wax Polish.

This site had some interesting looking polishes for plastic car windshields.

I've heard of people using Simichrome Polish, but it appears to be for metal.
