About Us
Pen World® International is the definitive source for information about new and vintage writing instruments and the people who create, use and enjoy them. Pen World is published and distributed seven times a year by World Publications, Inc. located in Kingwood, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
World Publications president Glen B. Bowen combined his vast knowledge and love of pens with his publishing experience to found Pen World® International in the fall of 1987. Bowen is also author of Collectible Fountain Pens. First published in 1980, the guide is still a must-read for novice collectors.
Over the years, Pen World has grown into the world’s premier magazine on writing instruments and the culture of writing. Pen World has always been distinguished from its sparse competition by its international distribution and is read by pen connoisseurs in more than 70 countries.
Since Pen World first appeared, interest in pen collecting has grown rapidly, and the pastime has gained international exposure.
