Southeast Pen Collectors' Club June 2004 Meeting
The SPCC meeting was held today. If you live in the Atlanta area you should try to come to a meeting. We meet in Smyrna at Total Office Products off of Cumberland Blvd.
Anyway, Calvin from Crane paper in Lenox came to the meeting to talk about the wonderful Crane paper and stationary products. He told us a little about the history of Crane and the different products they manufacturer. Actually, you probably have some Crane paper in your pocket right now, as they make all the paper for the US Currency.
He brought everyone a goody bag with Crane products and 2 door prizes. Thanks Calvin!
After Calvin was finished Scott Woodside of Platinum Pen showed us his precious metals collection and gave everyone a brief history of Platinum pens. Scott also brought a couple of door prizes. Another reason to try to make it to the meetings. He also gave out a cool auto mechnical pencil that you don't have to click (the lead just advances) and some gel pens. Thanks Scott!
After he talked about the pens he let pen club members try them out. Hey, Tom, how's that $7000 platinum Platinum pen write?
Another thing that was mentioned was "The Great Southeastern Pen Show" dates have been changed for 2005 to April 1-3.
