I know that a lot of people that are into pens now adays mainly collect fountain pens. I personally like all kinds of pens. I'm not much into pencils but anything that writes with ink I like, espically if the product is of high quality. That's exactly what the Michael's FAT BOY link of ink pens is, high quality. You can tell the minute you handle one that it's well made with great precision. The silencer version is very nice with it's bored out holes and precision cuts.

The pen I bought is the Exclusive 2004 Silencer Limited Edition and is limited to 99 pens. Each pen is laser engraved with it's own unique number from 1 to 99.

There are quite a few different pens in the FAT BOY line as well as other pens made by Michael's. Michael started designing better gripping pens in the early 1990's due to the calluses on his fingers. His efforts resulted in 2 US Patents being granted to him named Ergonomic Writing Instruments and Ergonomic Instruments.

The FAT BOY pens are machined in the USA from aircraft quality billet aluminum bars and assembled using the highest quality retractable mechanisms from Germany and genuine Parker Gel Ink Refills.

You can learn more about Michael's pens at Michael's Pens [0] and this particular version of the pen can be purchased at Bertram's Inkwell Betram's Inkwell [0]. You may need to send an email if you can't find them on the website: bertrams@bertramsinklwell.com [1]

One last note on quality, I was told by a reputable dealer that they have not received a single Michael's pen back for failure.
