This is one of the first modern Waterman fountain pens I've owned and actually one of the few Waterman's I own. I've looked at the Le'Atalan (spelling) and that was a nice pen, if not a bit on the heavy side.

The plastic material the pen is made out of seems to be well constructed. The pen has feelings of the 100 Year Pen for me. It has a nice art deco feel with it's nice wide silver band around the barrel. This is also one of my favorite caps and clips. Some of the Waterman clips I don't care for.
The nib on this pen is nice. White 18k gold, but if you look at the underside it's the yellow gold. Another thing different about this pen is there is no hole at the end of the slit in the nib. I wonder why some pens have this and other's don't. Is this compensated for somehow another way?
I'm was thinking about getting this pen converted to a cursive italic by Richard Binder at the Atlanta pen show, but I held off. Perhaps at another show.
