A Passion for Pens
Is anyone familiar with the "Pen gallery"? I have purchase a couple of pens from "Lai" & the service & product were super. I have a question; Recently I purchased a Sailor 1911 "Asian" model from her. There are two (2) distinct differences. They have the rounded top & the nib is 14k instead of the 21k. I got a blue one that is different than the blue of the ones we buy here in the USA.
Oh! BTW - They are almost half the price! I got the broad nib and to me the line it puts down is perfect.

I've heard of them and been to their website a few times. That's good to hear that you received good service from them. Did it take long to receive the pen? Do they ship where you can track the package?
Looks like the pen has black ends or is that just the way the picture looks.
I wonder if you tested a 14k and a 21k nibs that weren't marked if you could tell the difference? I would think it would depend on other aspects of the nib. Other metal content, shape, thickness, etc.
I'd looked at the 1911 silver pen at one time but never bought it.
