His Nibs.com update -- Anniversaries

Greetings,

I'm writing this on July 20th, 2009, the 40th
anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing in the
Sea of Tranquility. If you were of age then,
it's one of those indelible moments that will
be with you forever. In my case, it helped
that Buzz Aldrin was from Montclair, NJ, the
town next door to my boyhood home -- and
where I would subsequently spend 20 years of
my life.

I wrote a short essay about the moon landing
